At the biggest audience ever attended - Deadliest Catch


It's recorded that 5.54 million people tuned into Tuesday's "Blown Off Course" episode of "Deadliest Catch," making it the most-watched episode in the show's history. The episode was the first of several addressing the passing of Capt. Phil Harris, the beloved captain of the Cornelia Marie.

The episode finished the night as the No. 1 ad-supported cable telecast in almost every demographic, including men and women ages 18-49, and in viewers. In addition, the original episode of "After the Catch" was the No. 2 ranked ad-supported cable show among persons and men ages 18-49 and men 25-54.

Upcoming episodes include a July 13 "After the Catch" tribute to Harris, while "Deadliest Catch: Captain Phil Harris Remembered" will bow July 20 and feature one-on-one interviews with fellow captains and Phil's sons, Josh and Jake. For the last two months, Deadliest Catch has been the No. 1 program in all of cable on Tuesday nights among persons (an average 3.7 million viewers) and men 25-54 (1.4 million viewers). It's up double digits over last season, and has won every Tuesday since returning to the schedule on April 13.
